Capital Expenditures Capex of around €3.4 billion planned for 2020 We are planning capital expenditures (additions to property, plant and equipment excluding acquisitions, IT investments, restoration obligations and right-of-use assets arising from leases) of around €3.4 billion for the BASF Group in 2020. For the period from 2020 to 2024, we have planned capital expenditures totaling €23.6 billion. The investment volume in the coming years will thus exceed that of the planning period 2019 to 2023. Of the planned capital expenditures, €8.2 billion relate to our major investment projects in Zhanjiang, China, and Mundra, India, to expand our businesses in Asia and in battery materials.
